About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Embedded Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and testing embedded hardware systems for our cutting-edge products. The Embedded Hardware Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and innovative embedded solutions.
Requirements
Embedded Hardware Design:
Design and develop embedded hardware systems based on project requirements.
Select appropriate components, including microcontrollers, sensors, and communication interfaces.
Schematic Capture and PCB Design:
Create and review schematics for embedded systems.
Design and layout printed circuit boards (PCBs) for optimal performance and manufacturability.
Prototyping and Testing:
Build and test hardware prototypes to validate design concepts.
Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to ensure seamless integration.
Firmware Interaction:
Work closely with firmware engineers to define hardware/firmware interfaces.
Troubleshoot and debug hardware-related issues during firmware development.
Component Selection and Vendor Interaction:
Identify and select appropriate components based on performance, cost, and availability.
Interact with component vendors to stay informed about new technologies and products.
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
Participate in testing and certification processes as needed.
Documentation:
Create comprehensive documentation for hardware designs, including specifications and test plans.
Maintain accurate records of design changes and updates.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, firmware, and mechanical engineers.
Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Embedded Hardware Engineer or similar role.
Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad).
Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures and peripheral interfaces.
Experience with signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations.
Knowledge of hardware debugging tools and techniques.
Familiarity with embedded systems development and integration processes.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience with high-speed digital design and RF circuits.
Knowledge of industry standards for safety and reliability.
Familiarity with compliance testing processes (CE, FCC, UL).
Previous experience in the development of IoT devices or similar embedded systems.
